This series works on from Ghost Theatre I painted in oils on geometric wooden cutouts using  a collection of images drawn from old photos found in second- hand books, old catalogues and  magazines. It’s an historical series looking at Celtic origins, Scottish and American heritage, colonial times and my family history. Take Uncle Sam’s Footsteps, it portrays Duchamp’s urinal, a roller coaster, Shaker furniture, a Cadillac, the Cryslar building, an international meeting and Hallowen pumpkin as quotations from an aspirational America now in harder times.
