GHOST THEATRE I

Choosing a strict geometry of alternating paralleograms and triangles I created ambiguous multi-part narratives leaving the viewer to construct their own stories about the people, objects and symbols represented in clearly painted semi-realism. The formats were like comic books to be read across or the early Renaissance paintings of Duccio, Margarito of Arezzo and Lorenzo as seen at the National Gallery London. Stage set-like, these oils on wood were collated from photographic and drawn sources including the National Geographic, travel brochures, library books and mail advertising.
